Old Timey Herald is a publication devoted to uncovering and sharing the unique people, places, and stories that connect them from 1850 to the late 1950s.  Over the past few years, we've spent thousands of hours putting together a collection of nearly 100,000 old photos from this period from private collections.  This site will thus feature many of these 'found' photos as well as unique stories from various other archives. 

Rather than simply share collections of photos, our team of 'reporters' are going to have a bit of fun with the site, so over time we hope it begins to resemble a local newspaper from the 1920s or 30s, with all the local glamour and glummery and scandal you'd expect in small towns across the US during this period.
